Gascoignes - A Brief History
Gascoignes are independent Commercial Estate Agents and Chartered Surveyors established following a Management buy-out from Black Horse Agencies in 1991. The firm's history dates from the mid-1930's when the Gascoigne-Pees family developed a residential Estate Agency business in Surrey. As the firm grew, commercial and professional disciplines were added.

Unlike large London commercial agents, we are locally based with personnel able to advise on the retail, office, industrial and residential development markets in your area.

The present Directors of Gascoignes have been serving the business community for many years, specialising in Commercial and Residential property and offering a wide range of expertise, which includes: Planning & Development, Commercial Management, Rating and Taxation advice, in addition to the usual commercial property services.

Geoff Sparrow spearheads the new Gascoignes london based office and branchGeoff Sparrow to spearhead the new London office
Geoff Sparrow has recently joined Gascoignes and will be spearheading the new London Office which will be located in the heart of the West End. His experience is extensive, having been Development Director for over 10 years with Howard Holdings where he was responsible for, amongst other projects the Trinity Gate mixed- use development in central Guildford.

His experience has been almost exclusively in London where he his varied career has seen him act for private and corporate clients as property advisor whilst also acting as Development Manager and as a result, responsible for sourcing and assessing development and investment opportunities and where appropriate co-ordinating various professionals to acquire and progress all transactions. Geoff's background includes all sectors of the market having worked with Freshwater Property Group, Keith Cardale Groves, DTZ, Bilton PLC and more recently Buckrow LLP.

We are pleased to announce the opening of a new London office which represents an exciting expansion of our network and strengthens our regional coverage of the A3 corridor and South East markets. The London office will provide our current and future clients with the support and property expertise and services that Gascoignes have provided in Guildford and the surrounding areas for the last 25 years.

We are pleased to announce that Rod Walmsley will be joining Gascoignes with effect from Monday 13th June. Rod has a varied background in property in the South East, formerly being Retail & Property Director at Health & Diet Centres Ltd (GNC), Richard Rawlings & Company in Godalming and until recently working for James Flynn Chartered Surveyors in Wimbledon.
